Excellent, that's done the trick, thanks. In fact I create then delete a
libary asset.

Have you tried changing the file (something useless) before saving it?
(you could try renaming a library item, and setting it's name back to
the original name)...

	I'm trying to write a script to iterate through a directory tree
and resave all the Flash there as Flash 8.
	 
	At the moment, I'm opening the .fla in flash 8 and then saving
it - this is not affecting the file at all (and doesn't bring up the
'are you sure you want to change version' dialogue box).
